Does your child ever do or say something in exactly the same way as you?

And it’s a good thing?

Those moments are little glints of gold, as surprising and wonderful as getting a thinking-of-you note in the mail.

Today, my daughter and I were discussing a particular project she was working on… and lamenting the length of it.

“Just remember,” I said.  “When it’s done…”

She smiled and spoke in unison with me, “It’s done.”  Then she grabbed up her pencil and buried her head in her work.

A moment later:

“I love you, Mom.”

I will live on that for weeks.
