Burp cloths:

not glamorous, but very necessary.

The local fabric store had nice flannel for $2.50 a yard, and a yard can make three full burp cloths.

So… I have fifteen of these cuties.

And two of these (for a friend expecting a boy) because the flannel was REALLY inexpensive in the remnant bin.

And then this site had a tutorial for making a pouch that can accommodate three diapers and a baby wipe pack.

This one is a little different from the instructions, but—seriously—velcro is just plain loud when you’re trying to change a sleeping baby.

And I like square corners on my pouches.

Our future little one’s quilt is close to being finished.  Got the top done today… only to realize that I hadn’t prewashed the fabric for the back.  It is out of the dryer now, but it’s late, and tomorrow is another day.

So stay tuned for more baby stuff goodness!
