It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Our family celebrates the holidays for a couple of weeks…

Thursday is the kickoff for the first round of seasonal get-together with family members.

Christmas eve and Christmas day are just for the four of us (ooh!  That is so nice to say… “The four of us”), so we let each of the different family chunks pick when they would like to celebrate ‘their’ Christmas.

It’s like the twelve days of Christmas.  Except this year it’s only ten days long.

Aaaaand, I get to eat more goodies because everything is spread out!  Today, I found this link for Swedish Coffee Bread.

Oh.  My.

We’re going to have to have some of that!

I’ve been fussing around all week with a dark chocolate fudge recipe that has almonds, and I had better stop trying to ‘perfect’ it before ‘get in shape’ scoots to the top of the ol’ New Year’s resolution list.  SO tasty!!

Everything is wrapped and tucked under the tree.  There’re plenty of hot chocolate ingredients in the pantry and fridge.  The stockings have been hung with care.  (Although next year, I’d like to make some of these for the mantle.  Ooooh!  And these cute carolers!)  Bea has cut out a gazillion bits of paper to make truly lovely and intricate snowflakes to hang on the windows.  Mr. Anonymous has strung yards of lights around the house.  Doc willingly wears his reindeer slippers.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Hope your season is peaceful and full of loved ones!
